This is a seriously unofficial guide. I write the stuff I've discovered or think that I've discovered or had reported to me by others. And possibly I've checked it. There's no frigging way that this document will be 100% complete or correct.

1. The Game
1.1 Description
Oki, you're in for the vacation of a lifetime.
You'll have the chance to select exactly the girl you want as company and you'll have an entire deserted island to explore at will.
Complete with a beautiful beach, an old castle, wonderful hot springs and who knows what you'll find.

On a less romantic note, it's not really a vacation; it's not really even a game.

It's all about what fun things you can figure out to do with an artificial girl.
So it's more like "where do you want to fly today?” except that you're not flying.

1.2 Character Creation
1.2.1 About the Hiragana naming charts

There are 3 different sets of Japanese characters (not counting romanji or western characters).
The main character set is kanji, so called ideograms where every sign have its own more or less intricate meaning that and that can be combined in infinitely. To complement the kanji there's two sets of phonetic character sets, one for spelling out foreign words and names, katakana, and one for spelling out Japanese words and names, the one we're after, hiragana.

There's 46 basic hiragana, plus voiced, non-voiced and some other 'extra' chars.
The chart that you're met with when you're asked for a name (player name and later girl name) is the available hiragana including variants.
So basically you can spell any Japanese name using this chart, you only need to learn how to spell with them, and some good Japanese names.
I'm not going to tell you how, the net is covered with resources that do that.

Illusion has used slightly different font than is used in most hiragana charts to emulate a handwritten style, but you'll get used to it.

1.2.2 Player Name.
The player name you enter is kind of important, the girl will try to call you this so pay attention instead of you guessing it, or you'll end up a girl calling you Teinousha.
Or safe it and go with Nushi, either way, use the web find a good name and how to spell it in hiragana.
If she doesn’t know how to pronounce the name you've entered she'll default to the first syllable followed by -kun or -chan depending on her blood type (O and B use -chan, A and AB prefers -kun)...

1.2.3 Girl design.
There's really not much to say about girl design, except the matter of blood type.
Blood type is used a bit like zodiac signs in the west; it's supposed to tell your personality.
One version of what they mean is:
A: perfectionist, orderly, detail-oriented, industrious, idealistic, soft-spoken and careful.
B: flexible, passionate, creative, unconventional and have excellent concentration.
AB: natural leaders, great organizers, diplomatic, rational and imaginative.
O: powerful leaders, goal-oriented, enthusiastic, optimistic and good at business.

The blood type also selects the voice that the girl will have.

1.2.4 Girl Name.
This used to save the girl and all save files related to her, but not replays and screen captures, they're stored in two larges piles for themselves.
I don't know if the girls name has any effect in the game, more that allowing you to remember who they are.

1.3 Game play
1.3.1 Menus
There's really not much to say about the game menus, if you don't understand them get a the translated exe file.
1.3.2 Modifying filenames and icons
1.3.2.1 Replay files

The replay files are in the AI2/DATA/Rep directory and are normally named with time and date of the encounter.
If you want to save some really nice replays without have to remember the exact time and date you can simply rename the file. Like "Romantic evening on the beach with Reiko.rep" or something.
1.3.2.2 Nameplates
The name of each girl (in hiragana) is saved together with the girl config file in AI2/DATA/Datafile/<name in romanji>/<name in romanji>.bmp (the config file is the .aie file).
This .bmp file can be opened in any image editor and modified (don't alter size, palette or color depth).
Like adding the name in romanji or pasting in a little picture of the girl.
1.3.2.3 Save game snaps
In each girl's directory are also the save games related to that girl.
They're named with her name (in romanji) followed by _d00.aid to _d10.aid.
Together with each is also a save game snapshot named _v00.bp to _v10.bp; they are really .bmp files, standard windows bitmaps.
They can also be opened in any image editor and edited, but as with name plates, or any other in game images, do not alter the palette or color depth of the files.
1.3.2.4 Screen captures
These are taken with the 'c' key anytime in the game and stored in AI2/DATA/CAP/<time-date>.bmp.
They are not used in the game in anyway so you can rename, move or delete them freely.

1.3.3 In game control
The basic controls are hopefully well known by now but anyway:
1.3.3.1 Keys
'a': Change view between first person, follow boy and follow girl.
's': Center view in views where it's supported.
'd': Call if the girl is far away, hug if she's close. Normally this will start an encounter; you can release the hug before the encounter start by pressing’d’ again. Sometimes you might have to get even closer or move a bit to the side to be able to hug her.
'f': Call her to follow you, or let her go if she's following. Using this you can lead to anywhere you want and then turn around to hug her before she relocates herself to your right side.
'z': In encounter mode this can be used to operate your tool.
'x': Run, same as pressing both left and right mouse buttons.
'c': Snap a screenshot they're taken in the current display setting and stored in AI2/DATA/CAP.
'<space>': sit down, normally on the ground, but if you're close to something to sit on, like a chair or bench, you'll sit on that instead. One special case is your bed, if you lie down on the bed you'll go to sleep and sleep for a while.
Another special case is the cardboard box that the girl sleeps in; if you press space you'll end up in some weird crouching position.
'<esc>': access in game menu <esc> again or see 1.3.2.3 In game menu for info.
1.3.3.2 Mouse
<sideways motion>: turn.
<up/down motion>: in first person look up/down, ignored in others.
<left mouse button>: walk
<left+right mouse button: run
<ctrl>+<mouse motion>: pan camera
<alt>+<mouse motion>: move camera
<ctrl>+<alt>+<mouse up/down motion>: zoom camera
<mouse wheel>: if present, speed of auto move in encounter

1.3.4 In game menu
Most stuff is self explaining like save, load, restart and quit but 2 can deserve some explanation.
"Close up on/off": control the little close up picture that appears in lower left corner when the girl is talking to you.
"Player": switches the player between clothed, naked, clothed masked and naked masked.

1.3.5 Clothing shrines
The grayish stones with a red spot on are some form shrines to deity of clothing.
Walk up to any of them and activate with <space>, if you end up on your ass instead you're not close enough.
The interface is not much to talk about, except that the top right button is "reset to what she has" and that the bottom left one is "ok, go with this".
As everyone know by know she'll not switch at once, instead your selection is what she'll wear the next time she dresses, like after a bath or shadow.
Exactly what actions that unlock more clothes is a bit vague, it can be a happy girl, it can be exploring the island, it can be exploring new variants of 'encounters' or more likely a combination of all.

2. The Encounters
2.1
Reference section.
2.1.1 Basic positions.

There is 5 basic positions:

2.1.1.1 Wall mount.
Girl up against a wall or other tall vertical object.
Can be achieved where there's a suitable vertical object to prop her against.
One easy way to achieve a wall mount is catching her in the restrooms.

2.1.1.2 Desktop.
Girl on her back on a suitable object, boy standing.
Can be achieved where there's a suitable flat surface large enough for her.
As the name implies, desks and tables are good ones.
Why not thank her for the dinner by entertaining her on the kitchen table?

2.1.1.3 Desktop Doggy.
Girl bending forward, supporting her upper torso on suitable object, boy standing behind.
Can be achieved at the same places as desktop but is initiated by hugging the girl from behind (as with Missionary/Doggy).

2.1.1.4 Bend over.
Girl leaning over a suitable low object.
Can be achieved where there's a suitable low object not large enough for Desktop like a rock, a chair, a log or a trashcan.
Try the blue bench in the hot springs hut, and then she doesn't have to run so far to get back to the bath.

2.1.1.5 Missionary.
Girl on her back, boy on top.
The default position, achieved where none of the others can be achieved.
Any flat ground will do as long as there's no object suitable for other position near by.
Including such odd places as the altar in the church and the bed.

2.1.1.6 Doggy.
Girl on hands and knees, boy kneeling behind.
Same as missionary, except that you hug her from behind to initiate.

2.1.2 Advanced positions.
There are two advanced positions, offered by the girl when she feels for it.

Please note and this obviously can't be stressed enough, they will only be offered in the Missionary or Doggy positions.

I say again, the advanced positions will only be offered in Missionary or Doggy.

2.1.2.1 Chausu.
The tea grinder, boy on his back, girl on top.
This can be offered during sex or foreplay if the girl thinks you deserve it.
It's achieved by stimulating a happy girl, a really happy girl can be triggered with a single kiss, a less happy girl need more stimulation, but be aware of over stimulation (see foreplay techniques).

2.1.2.2 Shakuhachi.
Boy is standing; girl is on her knees using her mouth in a very sensible fashion.
This is offered during foreplay if the girl thinks you deserve it.
It's not offered while you're inside her (makes sense, once you're there you better do what you're there to do).
Achieved the same way as Chausu (actually, if you don't know enough Japanese you wont know which one she's offering).

2.1.3 Alternative positions.
Within each of the 6 first positions there is an alternative ‘sub’ position.
Shakuhachi has a variation too but it's not handled the same way.

The variations are achieved by gently grabbing the girl and moving her forward or back.
Technical note, the mouse motion is actually up and down, where up moves her forward and
down moves her back.

Be aware that moving her down when she's already in the down position is equal means
pulling out.

As follows:
2.1.3.1 Wall mount.
Forward is pushed flat against the wall, back is hands on wall and hips pushed back.
2.1.3.2 Desktop.
Forward is with her legs up, back is with her legs down.
2.1.3.3 Desktop Doggy.
Forward is with upper torso on support, hands on ass, back is hands on desk, torso horizontal.
2.1.3.4 Bend over.
Forward is with her torso vertical and hips forward, back is with her torso horizontal and hips back.
2.1.3.5 Missionary.
Forward is with her legs wrapped around the boy, back is with her feet on the ground.
2.1.3.6 Doggy.
Forward is with her head and shoulders against the ground, back is with her arms straight and back horizontal.
2.1.3.7 Chausu.
Forward is with the boy's torso raised and her torso leaning backwards, back is boy flat on his back and her torso vertical.

They can both be achieved during foreplay but she will not stay for extended time in forward position unless you enter her.

2.1.4 Excited Positions.
Each of the 16 positions (all 8, forward and back) also has one or more special positions that the girl chooses herself.

They all occur when she's about to explode.

Take very special care here, do not let her explode alone, it will make her very ashamed and unhappy. So when she goes for the excited position make sure that you explode as soon as possible, this includes during foreplay, enter and finish her off at once.

Also note that once she's in her excited mode you can not change positions, she's going to explode, now, with or without you and will not put up any messing about.

But there's one trick to change position and/or pull out when she's excited.
Just play with any of her bits, when you release she'll revert to non-excited pose (as always after playing with her).
Now you can change or pull out, as long as you don't use your tool.

2.1.5 Special notes on Shakuhacho.
There's also two 'positions' during Shakuhachu.
One where she's using hands and tongue, one where she's using hands and mouth.

They can also be switched between but this time the 'red hand' appears on the male.
If you try to move up from the up position she'll ask if you want to go back to non-oral mode.
(Author alert, this is from memory, needs to be verified.)

There's also and 'excited' mode, where she's really trying to get you to explode.
Since this one is about your explosion and not hers it's triggered as all other male explosions, rapid left mushroom clicks or the z key.
As with the others it's considered very rude not to explode when she tries so hard.

This is the only time where she herself decides to switch between two 'non-excited' positions.
This is also the only time she'll ask you if you want her to go into excited mode.

The mode of explosion is controlled by her current position.
If she's in tongue service mode you'll explode on her face.
If she's in throat mode you'll explode in her mouth.

2.1.6 Other nice offers.
If you have a happy girl she might ask you to let her do the job.
Again she's very explicit in what she wants, but in Japanese.
So unless you understand this wonderful language it's a bit hard to know what you're saying yes or no to.
But you don't say no to a girl do you? (Unless you've botched your mouse work and managed to pull out when you didn't want to.)

If you accept her offer she'll moving her hips in a very nice fashion, this will continue until you click something or she explodes by herself. She will tell you when it's ok for you to explode (I think you'll understand her, no matter what language), when she do, bang away.

Technical note.
It appears that sometimes a mouse click is left in the event queue, which will read as a click as soon as she starts. You'll notice that she'll just do one rotation and the stop.
Blame the coders, not the girl.

2.1.7 Enter and exit.
To enter you move her forward while in forward position (that is, forward twice from start position).
To exit you move her back in the back position.

Note that if you exit at any time except when you're about to explode (mushroom flashing rapidly) or in exploded mode, you'll be asked if you want to end the session.

Same thing happens if you move her back from back position during foreplay.

The special case happens when you're about to explode, if you move back from the back position you will explode outside her (correctly timed it'll allow her to explode at the same time).

Or when you move back just after an explosion, which means that you'll pull out (and cause some leakage).

2.1.8 Self-created happiness.
If you don't interact with your girl for a long time, ignoring her more and more open invitations she'll sooner or later retreat to the empty room in the house and perform a little show of her own.

It's reported but not fully verified that teasing her with hugs and kisses speeds this up.

This teasing is done by hugging her like when you initiate interaction but pressing d again before the interaction begins.

2.2 Techniques.
2.2.1 Foreplay.
First off, basic mouse handling.
Moving the mouse over her body shows a number of action icons.

  • Lips, for kissing, mouth/neck, nipples and love clam.
  • Finger, for caressing, nipples and love clam.
  • Hand (non-red), for fondling, boobs and ass.
  • Red Hand, for moving, waist.
    (actually on the boys waist in Shakuhachi)

Not everyone shows up every time and in every position.

To use this love tools:

  • Move your mouse until it shows an action icon.
  • Press left mouse button and don't let go, keep it pressed.
  • Check that the icon changes to its action mode (i.e. the lips becomes an open mouth).
  • Move you mouse, still keeping left button pressed until she moans and wiggles.
  • Release the mouse and locate next spot.

Note that the red hand is for changing position.

The most effective way is to slowly work your way all over her body, if you wish you can start to remove her clothing after the first lap.

Important note:
At all time watch out for her excited pose!

After some time of playing her 'moan and wiggle' pose will be replaced with her excited pose.
When this happens drop what you're doing, use the red hand to mover her into penetration and bang her for your life.

Do not let her cum alone!

2.2.2 Banging away.
Use the red hand to move her up/forward from her up/forward position to enter penetration mode.
Once there the default mouse icon will be replaced with a mushroom.
Clicking on the mushroom triggers male action, the 'z' key can also be used for this.

You can now use a combination of hand/mouth action with thrusting as you desire.
The mushroom in the top left corner indicates your own excitement.
It will go from solid, slow flash, rapid flash to solid red.
Solid red means that you just exploded.
You can also switch positions but be aware of the result of moving back/down when she's in back/down position.
Doing so unless the mushroom is flashing rapidly make her ask if you're tired and want to stop.

Doing so with the mushroom flashing means that you will pull out and come over her.

Again be aware of her excited pose, once she's there stop playing and bang away.

In excited you can't change pose and therefore can't pull out, so if you want to pull out and still have a happy satisfied girl you'll have to use a bit of judgment.
You want her ready to explode but not in terminal mode.

Or uses the glitch mentioned earlier stop banging and caress her, she'll go drop out of her excited pose and you can pullout.

2.2.3 Restarting action.
Please note that there's some form of time limit for each session.
(It appears to be exactly 9 minutes).
Being caught by the time out while in action is a bad thing.
So don't restart too many times.
It's better to end the session in an honorable fashion and re-grab her for a new one if you want to play more, then making a fool out of yourself.

Once you've exploded you'll both be panting catching your breath, the mushroom will stay solid red.
If you pull out now she'll squeal a bit and leak some love juice.
This is also the position you'll end up in if you pull out to explode over her.

If you chose back/down once more she'll ask if you're tired and wants to stop. This is the most honorable time to call it quits, overextending yourself is such an unmanly thing to do.

If you don't want to stop and think you can do it again you can use the mouth/hand action and revive her.
Just grab some spot (as a true gentleman I prefer her mouth).
Press left and wiggles until you restart in foreplay mode.

Again, not while you're still in her, if you're in you have to pull out first.

2.2.4 Restarting session.
If you want to continue playing instead of watching your little bunny hop away for a bath or shower you can grab her again.
The scene switches back to where it was before the session, the girl will say some stuff, hopefully “that was wonderful you stud”, when she's done talking you have 1 second or 2 to grab/hug her again and the action will restart.

2.2.5 The first time is special.
It appears that you can't get her into excited pose at the very first encounter.
But make sure that your really try, lead her somewhere you're sure you'll get a missionary, work carefully over her body, strip one click, work all over again, repeat until she's all nude.
Then penetrate, don't bang, work all over her body and then bang her until you explode (you can stop for a work over if you want).

The encounter will end automatically, but as soon as she's finished talking hug her again and work her up to excited and do her.

Voila, girl on a happy track directly from start.

2.2.6 Fastrack solution for the impatient by kljs.
Once you start the game, the FIRST time you have sex, the girl will not get high.
No matter what you do, she will only be at the threshold of before getting high.
So, just bang away or let the encounter end after a certain amount of time.
She will talk something and run to the bathroom.
Wait until she is done.
Now, you have the choice of either taking her to a shrine to change her cloths OR initiate sex once she gets out of the bathroom.

  1. Once you choose to initiate sex, pick a big area like part of a beach with no boxes or near that Easter Island statue, or bring her to your bed or the field or places with wide spaces. Press D facing her when you choose your position.
  2. Get her high and cum together twice, end encounter.
  3. Now, before she runs to the baths/spring, press D to initiate sex again.
  4. Repeat step 2 and 3 for 4 times.
  5. Let her run to bath/spring.
  6. Repeat step 1 but choose another position (doggy or standing) or go change cloths.
  7. Repeat step 2 and 3 for another 4 times in your new position.
  8. Repeat everything and you should have unlocked until nude bra.

I think by doing some more of those steps, you can unlock every clothes and also in the process get all the unlocked "Moves".

2.2.7 Paint It White by Eldwulf
or, how to get the "money shots" while still keeping your girl happy.

It's not too hard to achieve a pull-out and simultaneous climax in AG2.

The thing to bear in mind when attempting this is that your arousal level has to be slightly higher than hers when you begin to do her in earnest. As such, work over her body once but THOROUGHLY before you begin.

When you actually penetrate her, start by slowly building your arousal up to the slow-flashing level. You don't want to be left "high and dry", so to speak.

Now, while maintaining that level with sporadic thrusting, use your hands and mouth to stimulate her. Once she begins to be really aroused (the "I'm coming" pose), start banging her harder.

Now this is crucial: once your indicator starts flashing rapidly, STOP.
Her arousal level will drop a little more quickly than yours.
Get ready, and as soon as she's no longer in the "I'm coming" state, pull out (your indicator should still be flashing).
(Ed note, you can bring her out of to excited pose directly by caressing her).
Presto, happy girl covered in semen.

Note that as long as your indicator is flashing, even if it's slow, you'll still come over her if you pull out (AFAICS).
There's a relatively wide window of opportunity for that, so don't worry too much about missing it.
As for how aroused she has to be in order to "respond", it seems to me that the window's pretty wide too.
